State Representative David Welter is hosting two free Prescription Drug collection events on Saturday, October 23:
KENDALL COUNTY: Rep. Welter’s Prescription Drug Drop Off collection with Kendall County Coroner Jacquie Purcell, Kendall County Board Chairman Scott Gryder, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, and both the Yorkville and Oswego Police Departments will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23 at the Kendall County Government Campus (804 W. John St, Yorkville).
GRUNDY COUNTY: Rep. Welter’s Prescription Drug Drop Off collection with Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan and the Morris Police Department will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23 at Morris City Hall (700 N. Division St, Morris).
Community members are invited to drop off expired or unused medications to be properly disposed of. Accepted items that residents may drop off include prescription medications, prescription ointments and patches, vitamins, pet medicines, and needles. Restricted items include illegal drugs. Needles will be accepted at the Yorkville event but NOT at the Morris event.
This prescription drug drop off event is outside and allows you to remain in your vehicle. Drivers should follow the marked lanes when entering and exiting the parking lot. For questions or more information, please call Rep. Welter’s district office at (815) 416-1475.
